Fathom™ Tag Beacon Characteristics

Characteristics
BLE Packets iBeacon Advertisement, Eddystone-UID, Eddystone-URL, Eddystone-TLM, Fathom Proprietary
  Range Increments
Transmit Interval 100ms to 10000ms 100ms
Transmit Power -30dBm to 4dBm 4dB

The Fathom Tag supports the concurrent use of iBeacon and Eddystone protocols. The Fathom Tag has three dedicated beaconing slots. Each slot is separated by a 25ms broadcast delay.

The first slot is dedicated for iBeacon, the second for Eddystone, the third is for Fathom.

iBeacon Packets

The iBeacon Advertisement packet is broadcasted at every set interval of the iBeacon beaconing slot.

Eddystone Packets

If Eddystone is enabled the Eddystone-UID and Eddystone-TLM will share the Eddystone beaconing slot. Four Eddystone-UID packets are broadcasted for every one Eddystone-TLM packet. If Eddystone-URL is enabled, it will alternate with the Eddystone-UID.

  UID+TLM UID+URL+TLM
Cycle 1 Eddystone-TLM Eddystone-TLM
Cycle 2 Eddystone-UID Eddystone-UID
Cycle 3 Eddystone-UID Eddystone-URL
Cycle 4 Eddystone-UID Eddystone-UID
Cycle 5 Eddystone-UID Eddystone-URL
repeat Eddystone-TLM Eddystone-TLM

Fathom Proprietary Packet

Both iBeacon and Eddystone are user configurable. The Fathom Proprietary packet is not user configurable and beacons during its dedicated slot every second at 4dBm.
